“We were looking for a reliable moving head that was well priced,” explains TOK’s general manager Igor Tarnavsky, adding “Reliability is absolutely the key and we had many good reports about Robe in this context.” The lights were supplied by Robe’s St Petersburg distributor, Translight who will also be providing all the service support.

The majority of TOK’s work is in corporate, commercial and business events and concerts. They are based in the Ledoviy Palace Hall, St Petersburg and also supply audio and staging equipment.

They chose Robe’s workhorse 1200 Series fixtures for their first purchase of the brand for their high light output and good gobo selection, explains TOK’s principal lighting designer Andrey Fishbein … as well as because they are one of the best known moving lights in the industry.

With other recent Robe purchases by Translight, Gildia Masterov and Art Festival, Robe now has a strong presence in the city and the north western Russian rental market.
