Over 200 Robe moving lights – ColorSpot and ColorWash 1200E ATs and ColorSpot and ColorWash 700E ATs - were used at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show – for lighting the booths of Cadillac, Roewe, Ssangyong, Skoda, Mitsubishi Motors, Chevrolet, Fiat and several other leading brands in Halls E2 and E4.
The lighting designs for a total of 11 booths were all created by Honk Kong AV Promotion’s LD Xiaowei, and equipment was also supplied by the HK based company, which has subsidiaries in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. They bought an additional 100 new units of Robe ColorSpot 1200E AT specially for the show and to boost their Robe inventory. Lighting for each booth was controlled by an Avolites Pearl console.
When they first encountered Robe, Hong Kong AV Promotion were hugely impressed with the brightness, colours, accurate positioning, smooth movement and easy programming of the fixtures. They bought their first ColorSpot and ColorWash 1200E ATs and then continued, with Robe soon becoming the preferred moving light in their hire stock.
It was the first time that Xiaowei had used Robe for his designs, and he comments, <cite>“Their stability was excellent and is vital for this type of application and I will definitely be using Robe from now on”</cite>.
