The LTM Music Company from Novosibirsk Russia has specified and supplied Robe Scan 250 XTs, ColorMix 250 ATs and DJ Roller 250 XTs into the brand new Index nightclub in Novosibirsk.

The lighting scheme for the intimate 300 capacity venue was designed by LTM’s Artem Bakhtin, an experienced club designer, who has also used Robe fixtures in many other installations.

The main challenge at Index was the lack of ceiling height and space in which to rig the fixtures, and for this reason, he chose from Robe’s expediently sized DJ and Club ranges. <cite>“We also needed fixtures that were tough enough to withstand the club environment and just keep on working”</cite> he adds, stating that <cite>“The brand was an obvious choice”</cite>.

The 8 Robe Scan 250 XTs, 4 ColorMix 250 ATs and 4 DJ Roller XTs are all installed over the dancefloor  Whilst small in size, they are massive in impact, offering the club’s LJ’s an endless variety of combinations of colour, chases, etc. <cite>“The speed and the optics are really good”</cite> says Bakhtin, adding that their proven track record as a club and concert hall lighting product reinforced his decision, knowing that they would be low maintenance once installed.

For control, he specified Robe’s CyberPro software, chosen for its ease of use and large capacity to store preset patterns and sequences. CyberPro enables a show to be created on computer and run directly from a PC using a USB interface supplied with the software.  Once the show is completed, the data can be uploaded into the USB Interface, the PC can be disconnected, and the show run from the Interface - thanks to ‘Stand Alone’ mode.

The Index club has a main room and a bar area and a house/disco music policy. It has already become a very successful and sought-after nightspot in the city.
