Colossal Exhibition In Budapest for Robe

They wanted the booth to look really outstanding, so its main visual concept was called "Piccadilly" and featured an impressive 11 metre wide, 4 x 1 panoramic projection on to the top of the stand, achieved using 4 Robe DigitalSpot 7000DTs.

Two further DigitalSpot 7000DTs were utilised to project onto 2 circles hung beneath the big screen. To create an exciting and eye-catching environment, 4 ColorSpot 700E ATs, 2 ROBIN 300 Spots and 6 ROBIN 300 Washes were used for general booth illumination.

Through the cooperation with Erlatech Stage Kft, the new ranges of Electrovoice and Dynacord audio speakers were displayed, reflecting a growing interest in sound at the annual exhibition. "We wanted to involve a premium lighting manufacturer to compliment these leading audio brands," says Colossal's Csaba Csanádi, "And this is why the combination with Robe worked so perfectly".

The biggest interest by far throughout the 3 day show was in the new Robe ROBIN 300 Series, and everyone was surprised with how compact and fully featured the fixtures really are. "It's a lot easier now to show customers that smaller, better engineered and thought-out fixtures can have as much, if not more effect than large lightsources," says Csanádi, adding that they were convinced that size, light weight, speed and brightness is the root of success.

Colossal met up with plenty of existing clients, found some new ones and arranged many demos of the new Robe kit either in local venues, at client premises or in the showroom at Erlatech Stage Kft which includes a number of Robes in the installation. They are also fortunate to be close enough to Robe's own HQ in Valašské Meziříčí, Czech Republic, to make frequent visits with as well, allowing them to experience Robe's facilities and see the manufacturing process in action first hand.

Soundquest exhibition is growing and becoming more established year on year. "It's the only real opportunity in Hungary to show new products to multiple customers and illustrate our company's services, so it's an important meeting place and forum for discussion," explains Csanádi.

After all the interest during the exhibition, now it's time for the hard work in converting it into new business over the coming year!
